TIME Video
On seeing this Thich Nhat Hahn - Time Interview, I feel compelled to return to my practice in order to be more effective in daily life. It has been a long hot summer where initially my practice was engaged, in the sense of being a practice off the cushion. But now, I realize I have come to a place of delusion. Practice on the cushion must continue.
When I see the events occurring in the world, in Burma, Iraq, and plenty here at home such as Jena LA., I want to get up and leave and go directly into the conflict. What holds me back is my commitment to pay off my debts. I wish I were more free but I am not.
Therefore, I will practice generating energy and see what kind of action I can send from here.
